Friends board meets on the third Monday of the month at 5:00pm at the library. All members are welcome to attend.
Little Book of BIG Stories - Stories due 10/15/2024
The Friends groups in Sutton and Wasilla have a new project to advocate
for our public libraries in the Mat-Su Borough. The project is based on a
book developed and distributed in Idaho by The Community Library
Association in collaboration with the Idaho Library Association in January
2024. It is Wonderful!
The Little Book of BIG Stories introduction explains the invention of
paperback books during World War II when books in Europe were being
burned. This fascinating history is followed by patron’s short library stories.
Let's do it again! Let's share our BIG Mat-Su Borough Library stories and
make our own book. We will distribute our book to community and state
leaders. A special thanks to the Mat-Su Health Foundation for the grant to
publish this book.
Please take a few minutes to write about your personal library experience.
We want others to know how much we appreciate our libraries. Help keep
our libraries strong and free.
